Yadira AvinaYadira Avina is a first-generation Mexican-American. She is a junior at CSUSB working towards her B.A. in communication studies with a concentration in public relations. She understands how faulty immigration laws can affect a family through her parents. She is determined to use her education as a tool to help her community prosper and to prove that race is a social construct that has no validity. Yadira is a member of the radio team (coyote pack podcast) and was pleased to work in such a unique project that aims to help the CSUSB community.

Erika chavezErika is the oldest sister of three siblings. She comes from a Mexican background from Jalisco, her parents both immigrated to the United States of a better future. She is a college student, first generation to come to college in her family. While being a student in CSUSB, she discovered she was very passionate about her culture and wanted to learn more. Now, she is still discovering what she will end up doing exactly in life but she knows that at the end with dedication she will sometime make her parents’ choice of coming to America the best decision they could have ever made.

Luis Esparza, digital mediaLuis is a senior at CSUSB who will soon obtain his B.A. In communication studies. He understands the importance for marginalized communities to have a voice; especially during the tough current political landscape. He is currently one of the three digital and social media managers for the coyote pack.

Roxana CazaresRoxana is a 23-year-old student at CSUSB majoring in Communication Studies, focusing on Media Studies. Before attending CSUSB, she attended Moreno Valley College, where she earned two associates degrees. She is soon to graduate. She loves being a radio host for the Coyote Pack. She motivates herself by living life to the fullest and enjoying what she does for the Coyote Pack. She quotes, "Life is too short to be waiting for dreams to happen and that’s why I am chasing them."

Noemi GarciaNoemi always wanted to have her voice heard. She discovered her passion for broadcasting. Being a communications major has given her the opportunity to broaden her horizons and learn about others. Her success is her family’s success. Being part of The Coyote Pack, has created a platform for her voice to be heard. Most importantly, it has created a platform for the entire Pack’s voice to be heard.

Rubi GarciaRubi Garcia is a senior attending California State University San Bernardino pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in communications with a concentration in public relations, along with a minor in marketing. She was formerly involved in the coyote packs podcast media group, and now is formerly working in the social media group. She works as a marketing assistant and transaction coordinator. She was born and raised in Riverside, CA.

Andy GarciaAndy Garcia is a student at California State University, San Bernardino and a member of the Coyote Pack--the Video Team. Andy has an avid interest in obtaining knowledge on a large portion of subjects offered at the University. While being a part of the Coyote Pack, he has been introduced to new topics and exposed the struggles of the community.

DESHAWNA GRIFFITH-WRIGHTDeShawna Griffith-Wright is her name, but everyone calls her Shay! Shay recently got married and is the youngest of two, born and raised in Chicago, IL. Growing up in a single parent home, she always wanted to be someone who helped people feel better. She decided to further her education in Business Administration at Olive-Harvey College in Chicago. As a California lover, she’s always wanted to live in sunny California so she decided to save some money and take a 2,200-mile leap of faith.

Nallely GuzmanBorn in Mexico, Nallely is pursuing a career in Communication Studies at Cal State San Bernardino. She enjoys painting, hiking, and visiting new places. What interests her the most is discovering new things, meeting various people, trying diverse food, listening to different music, etc. She shows much interest in learning new things, that's her biggest strength. Nallely is a kind-hearted person. She loves helping people. The objective of her life is to be successful in everything she pursues.

Even though she lacked but craved cultural endeavors, she hopes that one day she will be able to say that she made positive change in her community. She loves working with those around her to empower them and herself. She will create a safer and happier environment, hoping others will follow.

ALONDRA MARTINEZAlondra Martinez is a first-generation college student at CSUSB, majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. As a Public Relation student, Alondra has learned how to create media kits, PR campaigns, and oversee events. She demonstrates her skill set as a member of the Coyote Pack by creating awareness in the community. Alondra has helped bring recognition to the stories shared by the Coyote Pack and welcomed the community to events that promote safe spaces and support for one and other. Her primary focus is to build relationships that contribute to the deconstruction of the misrepresentation of marginalize communities.

Jasmin NovoaJasmin Novoa is a student at CSUSB studying communication studies with a concentration in public relations. She is involved with the digital media group in the coyote pack. She is currently a full-time student and works part-time outside of school. Her specialty is strategic social media outreach. She focuses on helping and representing others who lack representation. She goes out of her way to give back to the community by volunteering. She fosters that culture of caring with her team.

Ricardo OrozcoRicardo Orozco is a second-year student at California State University of San Bernardino. He transferred from Monterey Peninsula College and relocated to Southern California to pursue his dreams as a Music Producer. He is an advocate for those who are less fortunate. While attending CSUSB he has founded the club Mass Productions; a group of talented musicians who produce, record, perform, and create new and innovative ways to experiment with music.

Veronica L. Peon Veronica L. Peón is a first-generation Latino college student in her family. She's a fifth year at CSUSB, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Working part-time in retail and interning at a news media organization, she finds herself actively involved in campus clubs and helping her family. On her free time, she enjoys attending local concerts, supporting the So. Cal pop-punk coalition music scene. Veronica expresses the way she views the world through spoken-word poetry and journalism.

Alicia rochaAlicia Rocha is a current student at California State University San Bernardino. Alicia is a Communication major with a concentration in Human and Organizations. Alicia plans to graduate in spring of 2017 with her bachelors and is considering to further her career by attending the master’s program. Alicia works a part time job, is a full-time student, and is currently involved in a church choir and has been involved since she was a teenager.

Francisco RodriguezFrancisco Rodriguez is a communication major focusing on human and organizational. He plans on furthering his education with the graduate program at CSUSB. Francisco is a lively character, always pushing boundaries, encouraging others, and expressing individuality. He plans on becoming a communication professor himself and diving into the field of human resources.

Daniela RuedaDaniela Rueda is 26 years old and a student at CSUSB. She will graduate from CSUSB in the spring with her Bachelors in Communications, Public Relations concentration. Daniela is currently interning at Univision Creator Network in Los Angeles and hopes to pursue her career with Univision.

Judith UrbinaJudith Urbina is 22 years old and currently an undergrad here at Cal State San Bernardino with a major in Spanish Communications. Her goal is to gain experience in public relations/marketing and hopes to continue her education. As a Latina woman, she has faced many struggles of discrimination that has made her a stronger person. She hopes to one day inspire others to believe that anything is possible regardless of what people try to tell you. She is also involved in her ministry choir and teaches bible studies. For her, success is knowing that she can help someone out; either by voicing their opinion or by simply making them happy.

Josefina ValdiviaJosefina Valdivia is a transfer student from citrus college in Azusa, Califronia. She transferred over to Cal State San Bernardino in the fall of 2016. Since she has arrived, she has actively been a member of the Forensics Team on campus--entering in the American Parliamentary Debate. Josefina is a full-time student, works three different jobs, and is a single mother. She looks forward to obtaining her Bachelor's Degree and hopes to be on the route to getting her Master's.

Rafael VelasquezRafael is a Mass Communication student attending California State University, San Bernardino and will graduate in June of 2017. While attending CSUSB, he has become involved with the community and became a contributor of the Coyote Pack. Following his status as a college student, he has been invited to write for the Los Angeles Sports Hub.
